WORKSHEET ON DECISION TABLE
Past Paper 2008
Given the following rules, create a decision table for the procedure:
Once a student is registered to take the Information Technology (IT) exam in June, then the School-Based Assessment (SBA) must be completed. If the student is re-sitting the exam in January, then the marks for the SBA are used, otherwise the student takes the SBA Alternative paper.
Past Paper 2007
Draw a decision table based on the following scenario on orders placed by a supermarket.
If orders of 5000 units or more are placed, and there is a credit facility in place, then the supermarket is given 90 days to pay. If, however, there is no credit facility in place, then the supermarket must pay 25% of the cost. If the order is less than 5000 units, and there is a credit facility, then it is given 30 days to pay. The supermarket must pay full cost otherwise.
Past Paper 2006
Illustrate using a decision table for the following method of calculating a discount on purchases:
Customers will be given a 5% discount on all purchases up to the first $100.00 spent at the store with a membership card. Without a membership card, the discount is 2%. A discount of 8% is given if the amount is greater than $100.00 and they have a membership card, otherwise the discount is 5%.
Past Paper 2005
Create a Decision Table to represent the following scenario:
If a customer’s credit rating is good and the item ordered is in stock, then confirm the order; but if the item is not in stock, then do not confirm the order. If the customer’s credit rating is not good however, whether the item is in stock or not, the order is not confirmed.
